DESCRIPTION: LPW - Waltham, Riverside Maximus, 19J, Model 1891, 0S, 14K multicolor gold original Solidarity HC with a pair of multicolor birds to rear flying toward a six-pointed start with inset diamond, front with rose gold shield surrounded by multicolor floral detail, scalloped band, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial with "Waltham A.W.W.Co." signature in script font distinctive to this mvt grade, SW-SS, fully capped lever escapement, diamond endstones on balance and escape wheel, ornate nickel damascene, s#7165335. Gross weight of assembled watch 23.4 dwt (36.4 g). An attractive example of this scarce top quality grade, the total production of the Riverside Maximus Model 1891 was only 900 made.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, nearly mint cosmetic mvt condition overall, bright lustrous surfaces, few small micro-fine scratches; virtually flawless dial with only a few infinitesimal pinpoint edge nicks under bezel and some scattered surface dirtiness; fine hands, minute with ample finish loss, seconds-hand with some finish loss and oxide; case shows very little wear, no exterior dents or dings, cuvette with a prominent deep scratch and associated deep indentation from an unfortunate slipped past opening, cuvette with few additional lesser fine scratches from other slipped past openings, excellent engraving detail, front opens slightly wide of 90 degrees (to approximately 95-100 degrees); tight bow thinned slightly at top, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
